Final Four Costly for MSU
Forget fixing the economy, who's going to bailout MSU. There are estimates stating MSU stands to loose about $300,000 due to the Final four being in Detroit:
Why? The NCAA reserves 500 hotel rooms for each Final Four participant, then offers them to the schools. Unfortunately for athletic director Mark Hollis and MSU, it is an offer they literally cannot refuse."We're committed to 500 of them," Hollis said. "We're anticipating using maybe in the 175 range for the official travel party, people from the west side of the state."
