Economy - Good or Bad
To hear or read the news these days you would think we are heading toward a repeat of 1929 and a new "Great Depression". Not to dispute that there are people who are hurting, but how come we didn't hear any of these statistics at last weeks Democratic Convention.
Did you hear it from McCain either? I don't think you'll hear anything positive about Bush this year from either camp (except for maybe on 9/11 and the Surge). It is too politically dangerous, therefore, it is politically advantageous to ignore the facts.
I sure sound cynical, but if the shoe fits!

Actually, McCain is on the record as stating the economy is fine. Obama's got a commercial running right now ridiculing McCain for the statement. I know there are real people who are hurting, but the the people who are in trouble because they decided to live beyond their means by borrowing against the equity in their homes, ignoring the fact that at some point the piper was going to have be paid....I have no sympathy for those folks.
