As a Poly Sci major I am fascinated by what's going on in the Democratic Party right now. Oh, if only a brokered convention were possible.

The latest scuttlebutt is over possible do-overs in Florida and Michigan. Let me channel Jim Mora for a moment, but REVOTES, you're talking about REVOTES, are you kidding me!!. The bottom line is those states broke party rules and there is a consequence for that. Sen. Clinton, who feels the rules don't apply to her, and finds her self in a battle she was not prepared to fight, wants those votes to count.

The focus on these states has allowed Sen. Clinton to refocus the news cycles away from the fact that Sen. Obama is leading in both delegate counts and popular vote and towards those poor people of Michigan and Florida whose voices can't be heard. Sen. Obama, understandably, has been against this.

I stumbled across a beautiful solution that is almost Solomon like in it's wisdom. It's a ficticious memo to Sen. Obama suggesting:

The best thing that we can do is concede F&M immediately and encourage the DNC to seat the delegations with the one proviso that the uncommitted delegates from Michigan be given to us.
